Grand Knight’s Column

Brothers the New Year has started, and already I am seeing great things happening for our council, and for the many people that we help in our community. We have filled all of the directors for this year, they are: Program Director Paul Allen, Church Director, Gerald Blair, Community Director Richard Holder, Council Director Lester Sylvester, Family and Pro Life Director David Gregory, Youth Director Cory Orgeron, Vocation Director Donald Belanger, Membership Director Robert Templet, Public Relations Scott McLin, Health Services David Broussard. These fine gentlemen have stepped up to help our council to excel this year, and I am asking every Knight to stand with them, and watch our council grow. I am honored to have these gentlemen, and I will help them in what ever endeavors they want do get involved with.

I would like to thank all Brother Knights that work so hard to make the K.C.L.S. a great success we sure had a lot of work to do, but you came thru in True Knight Pride.  Special thanks the Squires who did a wonderful job, and was praised very highly by some of the councils that attended the K.C.LS.

Fireman’s Appreciation Banquet July 30th at 6:30p.m. please come out, and pay special homage to the men and women who help save lives, and property in our parish.

We will be talking to Father Cary when he settles in to see where he would like to go to dinner, and I will give you an update and details as to where and when for those of you would like to go to dinner with him.

August will be very busy with meetings. There is a 4th Degree on August 9th, a 2nd and 3rd  Degree August 17th , Quarterly Communion, and Installation of Officers will be August 23rd after 4:30 Mass. St. Marks, St. Theresa , and Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. We will have a fund raiser August 24th, and a 1st Degree August 28th.

I am starting to revamp my K.C e-mail addresses and I need your current e-mail addresses. I am getting to many failures, and as you know the cost of the mailing of the Knight Lite is getting very costly. We has 220 members in our council, and I only have 106 e-mail addresses so you can see 114 time 42 cents = $48.00  a month so please e-mail or call me with your e-mail address at truemker@eatel.net or 622-4152.

Let us say prays for and all Brother Knights, their families, and friends who are ill and home bound.  I can always be reach if you need me at 622-4152 or at truemker@eatel.net.

Vivat Jesus!

INSURANCE AGENT’S REPORT

              Protect The Family

The objective of the offensive line in football is to protect the quarterback. To do this, the line must be strong and reliable.  Your family must also be protected. The one thing that will protect them best is strong and reliable life insurance. Wit life insurance, your family will be protected from financial disaster in the event of your death.  They can continue to live as you would want them to live. And they would have you to thank for it.  Score a touchdown for your family and buy life insurance Call me for an appointment.

Would you (or someone you know) like to make an extra $10-$25 per hour part-time setting insurance appointments by telephone with K of C members? Call me, K of C agent Tim Fernandez, for more details.
