Home Enthronement Resources
In conjunction with the Sacred Heart Holy Hour, Knights and their families are encouraged to enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus in their homes using the enthronement resources mentioned in the program. Families can use the ceremony of enthronement to dedicate themselves and their homes to the Sacred Heart, which is based on a version widely promoted in the early 20th century through the work of Father Mateo Crawley-Boevey, SS.CC., who emphasized the role of enthronement in fostering a Christ-centered family life. Through the enthronement ceremony, families recognize Christ’s rule over their lives.
They do this by placing an image of his Sacred Heart in a place of honor in their homes, renewing their commitment to be faithful disciples, and consecrating themselves to it. By enthroning the Sacred Heart, families commit to living according to Christ’s teachings and embrace a way of life rooted in his love, mercy, and blessings.
